Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, out of courtesy, please contact Bora Braids at borabraids.com/contact or text +1 (631) 805-6246 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable. Clients booking styles with human hair must provide the human hair for the appointment. The human hair must be confirmed with the studio at-least 3 days before the scheduled appointment [Non-Compliance = Cancellation]. All booked clients must have their hair cleaned and product-free (no more than 3 days). Hair must be completely detangled and blow dried from roots to tips for all styles (no exceptions) [Non-Compliance = Cancellation]. The Terms & Condition of Booking an appointment with Bora Braids includes a social media and photography / video clause. Please read @ borabraids.com/terms.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING.

  • Please be on time for your appointment. When you arrive, please text the number available in your confirmation.

  • Oyinkansola, Adeee, Aziza, and Amudalat are only available for braids.

  • A minimum $50 deposit is required when booking (increased deposit on selected premium styles). All deposits go towards the final cost of your style. A processing fee may be added at checkout. 

  • All post-booking deposits are $50.

  • Final payments are paid in cash or through Zelle. 

  • Monthly appointments open on the 17th day of the month before (e.g. December 2024 opens for booking on November 17, 2024). 

  • Clients must be 10 years and older to book.

  • We do not accept Male clients. 

  • Guests / children are not allowed at the appointment.

  • Braiding hair is provided for all services. Human hair and synthetic curly hair are provided by the client (the studio recommends brands, Freetress and Mayde [Deep Twist] for synthetic styles). Please send a text 24 hours before your appointment to confirm if your required color is in stock. Ruwa Hair (click for photo) is also available.

  • Human hair is available for purchase with Bora Luxury Hair @ borabraids.com/shop

  • Contact information for Bora Braids is sent electronically after booking online.

  • Please notify Bora at least 48 hours out of courtesy before your scheduled appointment to cancel.

  • Same day style change is PROHIBITED.

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless the studio has to reschedule or cancel (also non-transferable).

LAST MINUTE APPOINTMENTS:

​

  • Last minute and VIP Appointment requests are permitted.

  • An additional charge of $200 is required.

  • Please visit borabraids.com/vip to book.

LATE POLICY:

​

  • The studio allows a 10-minutes grace period without a late fee. At 11-15 minutes = $20 late fee (if time permits) or cancelled. 20 minutes past = appointment is cancelled.

  • No Call No Show = Cancelled (DEPOSIT IS AUTOMATICALLY INVALID WITH 50% OF THE SERVICE COST BEING CHARGED.)

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless the studio has to reschedule or cancel (also non-transferable).

  • No major style changes on the day of appointment.

HAIR REQUIREMENTS:

​

  • Hair must be cleaned and product free (no more than 3 days).

  • Hair must be completely detangled and blow dried from roots to tips for all styles (no exceptions). Click here for visual representation

  • Lack of preparation will result in your appointment being cancelled and deposit forfeited or a fee. 

  • Hair must be at least 3 inches all over.

  • If you have any scalp conditions; bald spots, thin edges, hair breakages, please inform me.

  • Please be patient, hair styles may take longer on different clients' based on hair texture.

  • HUMAN HAIR PREPARATION REQUIRED BEFORE APPOINTMENT: As a friendly service to the studio, please purchase your human hair at least 3-days before your scheduled appointment. The studio requires the hair to be prepped before the appointment which saves time on the day of. If you're purchasing with Bora Luxury Hair, please visit us online at borabraids.com/shop and select “In-person pickup / appointment ready” at checkout. The stylist will prep the hair. If you purchased hair elsewhere, please drop it at the studio at least 2-days before your scheduled appointment. If you are unable to, there is a possibility your appointment will be cancelled. ALLERGIES:

  • It is important to inform us of any known allergies to braiding hair and / or hair products. By booking with Bora Braids, you are agreeing to all terms.

HOME SERVICE:

​​​

  • Booking is only submission for approval.

  • If location is ineligible, appointment will not be approved.

  • The final cost of the appointment is confirmed after approval.

  • Final cost will include the price of the style and an upcharge for travel. 

  • Once approved, no refunds for deposit.

  • Deposit is non-transferable.
